Arlington Heights Memorial LibraryA very nice redesign of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, IL website. An excellent use of Drupal without looking like an out of the box Drupal website. The drop down advanced search for the catalog is excellent and new to the library world. The large search box front and center is also a great idea, for library websites are usually just a portal to our content.
Wow, those book jackets just bowled me over!
Who did this? Anyway, very good. Some layout bugs on FF3/Mac but otherwise very good.
Interesting how the various parts using different applications have to be pulled in -- everything from the Opac of course, to the "official news blog" using WordPress to the Calendar running something using ASP files.
I know they had a team of people working on it with Doug Danley being the head web designer (I think). I also believe they had a consultant come in and give them a day or two of training.
