Emory UniversityThe Robert W. Woodruff Library is the main library of Emory University (Atlanta, GA). The site is well designed and extremely good looking. It's got everything there: news, calendar, links to databases, etc. In a sense, this is the direction of all academic library websites (at least the lucky ones). And yet, I'm left wondering if the design is a bit too reticent and restrained and whether we as academics are missing out on "suggest a resource" and "most popular items" that would be the first things we'd see on a commercial site.
The site could also use a "Help" option (yes, I know, "Ask a question"...)
So visually I think it works. It just needs to be a bit more "courageous" in its implementation.
