I got an early jump on blogging having put together a blog, "Library News" for where I was working at the end of 2002-beginning of 2004. I had been blogging on other people's sites and on community blogs since 1998.

But I had never started my own. So here was a chance to put together the various interests in my life: librarianship, web design and development, and of course living the good life in Chicago. With those elements, what other name could you come up with but ChicagoLibrarian.com? It was a natural and I'm happy with the reception it's received.
