Book Synopsis

Right before the start of their freshman year, Emma's family unexpectedly moves to England. The book club is stunned, but thanks to videoconferencing, they can keep the club alive. They decide to tackle Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, a particularly fitting choice. In England, Emma deals with a new queen bee, Annabelle, who makes her life miserable. And back home, Annabelle's cousins--who have swapped homes with the Hawthornes--whip the rest of the school into a frenzy. Cassidy clashes with moody Tristan, Concord's own version of Mr. Darcy, and everyone is taken with his younger brother Simon.

Desperate for life to get back to normal, the girls throw a bake sale to raise money and bring Emma home--and suddenly, they have a thriving business, Pies & Prejudice. But when the plan they cook up falls short, will the book club ever all be together again?

This was such a great book - by far my favorite in this series! I recommend reading Pride and Prejudice before you read this book to help you understand references to characters and such. It was so fun connecting characters in this book to characters in Pride and Prejudice. I recommend this book for girls 10 and older.

Spoiler Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pies & Predjudice is ( in my option ) the best of the entire series. The book is thrilling there is never a chapter That was boring. Even though Mrs.Bergson dies.Even when they met another Queen bee stinker belle and the drake she makes for all the girls. This book really brings the girls together. Even in the end where Stewart forgives Emma. Jess gets Darcy. Megan gets Simon. And Cassidy kind of Ina way get Tristain. Everything seems to be good for everyone.

In this book heather takes such tough situations and always finds the answers. It felt like I was in the life of Megan, Jess,Cassidy,Emma, and even becca at a point. She took such extrordanary objectives and made it look easy to write. I have read all her books and what a talented writer she is. 5 starsπŸ˜„

From the name to the end of the novel, Heather Vogel Friedrick invokes wittiness, sadness, and a true understanding of teenage life from the crushes, humiliation, and confusion. The characters are fresh and all have very different characters (sorry, bad pun). 5 stars to you Heather!
